Lyari meets Liverpool legend Ian Rush
Football legend Ian Rush made his much anticipated entry into Karachi’s football hub Lyari, amid much fanfare and joy of the local populace.
Talking to the people, Rush expressed much delight in visiting Lyari, which is widely known for its football crazy fans. "I am happy to be in Lyari, there's a lot of passion for football here. Pakistan has a lot of football talent and the kids need good coaches to polish their talent,” said Rush while talking to local media.
“It’s good to see kids showing interest in football because this is the age where you can start learning," he added. As per reports, Rush is in Pakistan to produce a documentary.

The Welsh footballer played for Liverpool from 1980–1987 and 1988–1996, becoming the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, having scored a total of 346 goals in all competitions at the club.
He is also known for his record 25 goals scored against rival Everton. At international level, Rush made 73 appearances for the Wales national football team and is considered one of the leading goal scorers for his country with 28 goals between 1980 and 1996.
