BANGKOK: Thailand's commercial bank loans may grow 5-6pc this year, less than the 6-7pc increase seen three months ago, a central bank official said on Tuesday.
In January-March, lending rose 5.6pc from a year earlier, slowing from a 6pc rise in the previous quarter, Somchai Lertlarpwasin, a senior director of the Bank of Thailand, told a briefing.
Thailand on Tuesday reported its weakest annual economic growth rate for a quarter in more than four years - 2.8pc - for January-March.
