KARACHI: The Heat Wave Alert announced for Saturday was registered to had downgraded as mild heat-wave with hot and humid weather likely to prevail during next two days.

Pakistan Meteorological Department, Karachi office officials on Saturday evening said the weather throughout the day remained hot and humid with maximum temperature registered to range between 37 degree to 40 degrees while minimum being 27.5 degrees.

Humidity during morning hours was recorded 65% to 70% that dipped to 45% to 55% during Saturday evening. The wind direction remained south westerly to westerly.

The Met Department on Thursday had issued a heat wave alert for the metropolis, from May 25 to May 27.

According to concerned officials maximum temperature may range in 38-40 degree celsius on Sunday (May 26) too and further drop to 37-39 degreesºC on Monday (May 27).

Wind direction will be mostly from southwesterly to westerly direction during day time.

Authorities and all stakeholders have been advised to take necessary precaution and keep them abreast from heat-wave updates by Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Weather on Sunday would remain Hot and Dry with all chances of warm and humid on Monday.
