Asfandyar condemns police crackdown on PPP workers
PESHAWAR: President ANP Asfandyar Wali Khan here Wednesday condemned the police crackdown on the PPP workers at the time of Bilawal Bhutto’s appearance before the NAB Court the other day.
In a statement issued here, the ANP leader urged the government to avoid resorting to undemocratic ways and means curbing the opposition parties. He also demanded early release of the PPP workers and avoid taking steps that detrimental to the democracy.
He said that PPP was in government in Sindh province therefore they should be given the right to rule the province as per democratic norms and traditions.
He said that ANP believed in impartial and transparent accountability process and demanded starting of accountability of the people in the government and avoid using NAB as a tool against the opponents.
