LONDON: European stock markets dropped further at the start of trading on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.6 percent at 7,116.49 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index lost 0.6 percent to 11,661.12 points and the Paris CAC 40 retreated 0.7 percent to 5,171.61 following heavy falls for global stock markets last week.
