ABIDJAN: Ghana's Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC) sold 139,725 tonnes of cocoa beans between the start of the light crop in June 2018 and April 30 this year, Cocobod data showed on Tuesday.
Local sales accounted for 133,725 tonnes of the light crop while external sales reached 6,000 tonnes, according to Cocobod.
The light crop runs from June to September.
Ghana is the world's second largest cocoa producer after Ivory Coast.
