Toyota’s future vehicles to have automatic parking, auto-engine shut off features
Automaker Toyota is bringing new high-tech features to its future cars, including an automatic engine shut off and also an automatic parking feature.
Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota announced that starting with the model year 2020, its new vehicles will incorporate Automatic Engine Shut Off and Automatic Park features, making the vehicles more attractive.
The automatic engine shut off feature works when a vehicle is left running for a predetermined time period. The engine will then automatically detect and shut itself off. Smartphone app capabilities will also be included as an added reminder for the auto engine shut off.

As of for the auto-park feature, if a driver leaves a vehicle without putting it in park, the vehicle will automatically shift and/or apply the parking brake, automatically shifting the vehicle into parking position.
The new vehicles, as per Toyota, will also come in with enhanced audible and visual warning to its Smart Key System, which already warns and notifies user if the engine is left running or the car is not in parking mode. It also provides improved theft prevention and other personal security benefits.
