Danish Taimoor reveals he and Javed Sheikh were offered roles opposite Kareena Kapoor

Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has revealed that he was offered the lead role in 2018 Bollywood movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ opposite Kareena Kapoor. Danish reportedly also accepted the offer but due to sour relationship between India and Pakistan he couldn’t do the film.

While appearing on a chat show on a local TV, the actor said he and actor Javed Sheikh were finalized for the role in movie, everything was set. The dates were even finalized but then the tension between India and Pakistan escalated.

“We were all geared up to go for the shoot then Kareena Kapoor got pregnant. When she was ready for the shoot then the situation between India and Pakistan got worse,” he said.

Danish has recently been named 'Best TV actor' by a local online poll. One in 10 Pakistanis claim Danish has the best acting on TV among male actors. A sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “In your opinion, which actor’s performance is the best on television?” In response, 10% said Danish Taimoor; 7% each said Faisal Qureshi and Humayun Saeed; 6% each said Fawad Khan, Fahad Mustafa, and Imran Abbas, local media reported.
