Xiaomi mocks notch-styled phones in new series of ads
Ever since Apple introduced the notch style in its iPhones couple of years ago, many smartphone makers followed suit, with some finding new styles for notch while some eradicated the notch. Xiaomi has now mocked the notch in its latest video, while promoting its phone.
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi unveiled its Mi 9T last week for international market, featuring a notch-less display and also a pop-up selfie camera. It recently released new series of three video promos named ‘Beware the Notch’ for the phone, all of which making fun of the notch.
Exploring how absurd a notch would look like and serve as a distraction in various settings, each ad portrays how notches are a distraction, leading to hilarious outcomes.

The first promo shows what happens at a hairdresser’s. The video shows the hairdresser being distracted by notch and ends up messing up the customer’s hair.

The second video features a dentist room environment. It shows the dentists being distracted by the notch and hence, being unable to treat the confused patient properly.

The last video promo shows how a make-up session can go wrong. This video shows the make-up artist being distracted by the notch this time and ruining the girl’s lipstick while she looks up at him angrily.
Apart from notch-less display and pop-up selfie camera, the Xiaomi Mi 9T features a 6.4-inch screen, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The phone comes in with triple 48MP+13MP+8MP rear camera for the perfect click, as per News18.
