BUCHAREST: Romania's finance ministry sold a more than planned 1.49 billion lei ($356.64 million) worth of April 2026, treasury bonds on Thursday, with the average accepted yield at 4.24pc, central bank data showed.
Debt managers, who had planned to sell 500 million lei, last issued the paper in May at an average yield of 4.72pc. On Thursday they also sold more Oct. 2020 bonds than planned.
So far this year, Romania has sold 24.01 billion lei and 506.7 million euros on the local market. It also tapped foreign markets in March for 3 billion euros worth of 2026, 2034 and 2049 Eurobonds.
