With growing technology, more and more everyday devices are now coming in with the feature of being wirelessly charged, however it still requires a pad that would need a power plug. A firm is now trying to solve this issue by making a solar-powered smart table that can charge multiple devices.

A Spanish start-up named Proton New Energy Future recently unveiled Ebörd, a solar-powered smart table that has a wireless charger built into its entire surface and harvests energy from the sun or even artificial light, which lets it charge multiple device all at once.

Ebörd looks just like any other table on the outside with a dark glass top and metal frame, but features a bit of technology hidden under its hood. Ebörd consists of over 50 charging coils that permit users to charge up to four devices anywhere on the top, as per New Atlas.

Since the Ebörd uses the Qi charging platform, it has the ability to work with the last few generations of iPhones and Samsung Galaxies, Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL and other phones from Sony, LG, Nokia and such. Also, major smartwatches, tablets, earbuds and too use the Qi and can be charged. However, for the devices that aren’t directly supported, the table also features two adapters.

Moreover, the table’s surface is photovoltaic that allows it to suck up sunlight and store it in a 10Ah battery. The firm stated that Ebörd can absorb artificial light too. Also, the table is waterproof can be functioned as a regular table too, with some models even equipped with LED lighting system and Bluetooth surround sound speaker.

Meanwhile, Proton plans to start shipping the table by November.
