KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Tuesday at 18,338.39 points with a negative change of -67.81 and volume of 89,167,400 shares. High and Low were 18,471.26 and 18,177.44 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 12 were up, 17 were down and 1 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 144,849,620 shares. Total companies traded were 343 of which 118 were positive, 193 were negative and 32 were unchanged.

Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 27,889,000 shares. It was followed by Technology and Communication with a total traded volume of 23,839,200 shares.

The top three advancers were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 360 and price per share of 3,966.66 (148.13), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,120 and price per share of 1,400 (64.00), Sapphire Fibres Limited with a volume of 50 and price per share of 757.08 (36.05).
