Russia's Yamal LNG produced 9mn tonnes of frozen gas in H1
MOSCOW: Production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at Russia's Yamal LNG plant reached 9 million tonnes in the first half of the year, the company said on Tuesday.
Russia's Novatek is the largest shareholder of Yamal LNG, controlling 50.1% in the project. France's Total and China's CNPC have 20 percent each, while the Silk Road Fund from China owns 9.9 percent in Yamal LNG.
The company said 126 LNG tanker shipments were dispatched during the period.
Most of the LNG was transhipped from ice-class LNG carriers to conventional vessels in Norway and delivered to market. From the start of transhipment in November 2018, 123 ship-to-ship transfer operations have been conducted.
The company, which became operational in December 2017, also said it produced 600,000 tonnes of stable gas condensate in January-June.
Yamal LNG's nameplate capacity stands at 17.4 million tonnes of LNG per year.
