CHICAGO: Spot basis bids for corn rose at processors and ethanol plants around the US Midwest early on Wednesday, with the market underpinned by slow country movement of the yellow grain, dealers said.
Sales remained slow on Wednesday morning despite a futures market rally, a dealer in northern Ohio said.
Corn prices were still about 30 cents a bushel lower than they were two weeks ago.
Cash bids for corn were flat at river terminals and steady to weak at interior elevators.
Soybean bids were firm at river terminals and flat around the interior.
