FBR announces reparation to family of late custom deputy collector
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced reparation to the bereaved family of deputy collector Dr. Abdul Qudoos Sheikh, who got fatal injuries in an ambush by the smugglers near Quetta last week.
FBR has allocated Rs 10 million to support the family of the deceased officer and meritorious reward equal to 36 salaries has also been sanctioned to Dr. Abdul Quddus for his outstanding services.
In addition the board has also named Kolpur customs check post after Dr. Abdul Qudoos Sheikh.
Meanwhile, Chairman FBR Shabbar Zaidi has recommended his name for the highest civil award to be honoured on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day on August 14.
It is worth to mention here that he came under attack during a crackdown against smuggling mafia near Quetta.
