Shehbaz Sharif begins legal action against British newspaper

Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has filed a case against British newspaper Daily Mai
Published July 26, 2019

Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has filed a case against British newspaper Daily Mail's sister paper The Mail on Sunday for accusing him of embezzling UK funds.

Shehbaz's case will be fought by British law firm Carter-Ruck. The PML-N president has rebutted the allegations and said that if there was any truth in them, then he would have been  arrested and charged. He further said this was a politically motivated campaign against him and his family by the current government of Pakistan.

The PML-N leader also said that he will clear his name of these terrible allegations and will prove his innocence in British courts.
