Elon Musk announces Tesla will soon be able to stream YouTube, Netflix

Elon Musk is all set to make driving more fun as it has promised that soon Tesla owners will have access to YouTube and Netflix streaming, making driving more entertaining.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently announced via Twitter that soon Tesla cars will have the ability to stream YouTube and Netflix when the car is stopped via its in-car displays. What’s more interesting is that it will give a pure ‘cinematic feel’, thanks to its ‘comfy seats & surround sound audio’.

Earlier, as per The Verge, Tesla showcased that drivers can now play games on the displays too including ‘Cuphead’, ‘Fallout Shelter’, and ‘Missile Commands’ among many others. However, the games would only work when the car is parked and the steering wheel is used as a controller.

Same is the case for the video streaming, which will only stream when the car is parked. Also, in order to maintain safety and when regulators approve self-driving, eventually the riders will also be able to stream video while the car is in motion.

Though Musk didn’t reveal further details or a specific timeline as to when the feature will be made available, he did write that it will happen ‘soon’.
