"In a world full of hate, let’s choose to love": Mahira Khan gracefully responds to trolls
Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan has been in headline these days as her acting skills have been questioned several times by fans as well from some Pakistani celebrities. In response to all the hate comment, Mahira gracefully replied saying that she is proud of herself and she will keep doing she feels right for her.
Mahira wrote a hand-written letter to share her feelings about the criticism she had been receiving from the past week.
She wrote, “As an artist I am proud of my industry. I’m grateful to my senior artists for paving the way for people like me and so many others. I am also proud of myself. In this journey of mine, I can proudly say that I have done what I thought was right and never succumbed to what others thought was right for me. That - I will continue to do. InshAllah”.
She further added, “In a world full of hate, let’s choose to love. Let us stop picking on one another so that this industry and our country thrives like no other”.
A veteran actor, Firdous Jamal, made some controversial remarks about Mahira on Faisal Qureshi’s morning show where he said she shouldn’t play lead roles because she’s too old.
His comment immediately sparked social media outrage. Firdous was condemned for his remarks. Several Pakistani celebs also come out in Mahira’s support and called out Firdous for his ageist remarks.
Few days back, Pakistani actress Javeria Abbasi also made similar comment about Mahira where she said Mahira is only beautiful but lacks acting skills.
