HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks finished lower on Wednesday after a storm warning prompted an early closure for the bourse, while mainland shares were also down as US-China trade talks wrapped up.
The Hang Seng Index finished down 1.31 percent, or 368.75 points, at 27,777.75.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.67 percent, or 19.83 points, to close at 2,932.51.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, ended down 0.68 percent, or 10.77 points, at 1,571.30.
