HAMBURG: South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased around 69,000 tonnes of corn expected to be sourced from South America in a private deal on Wednesday without an international tender being issued, European traders said on Thursday.
The corn was purchased at $210.35 a tonne c&f plus a $1.25 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading. Seller was believed to be trading house Cargill.
It was for shipment between Oct. 8 and Oct. 27.
