Despite the ban on each side of border, Indian singer Mika Singh has performed live in Karachi. In the follow up, the All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) and Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has put an unconditional ban on singer from the Indian film industry and from performing in India.

Mika performed at a private function in Karachi, which has been causing uproar on social media. Certain media reports alleged that Mika charged around USD 150,000 for the performance.

FWICE issued a statement on Wednesday in stated, “We are deeply pained and anguished by the performance of singer, Mika Singh at the wedding of former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf's cousin's daughter in Karachi, followed by height of tension and broken relations between India and Pakistan, which is shocking, shameful and shattering”.

AICWA put an unconditional ban on the singer and boycotted him from all the movies and music contracts with the entertainment companies, reported ANI.

After India's August 5 decision of removing Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, both the countries have severed all artistic and social ties with each other.

The singer on his return to India chant 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' [Hail India] on Wagah border but Indians are not impressed by Mika's gimmick and feels that his career in India is in trouble now. He took to Twitter to display his patriotism as he shared a video of him shouting pro-Indian slogan at Wagah Border.
