KAMPALA: Uganda's coffee exports jumped 18% in July compared to the same month last year, the state-run Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA), which oversees the sector, said in a report on Thursday without providing a reason for surge.
The East African country shipped 463,709 60-kilogram bags of coffee in July, up from 393,022 bags exported in the same period last year, according to the report.
Coffee is one of Uganda's single biggest commodity exports and a key source of foreign exchange for the economy.
