The US purchase involved 6,500 tonnes of dark northern spring wheat of 14% protein bought at $274.33 a tonne c&f, 2,000 tonnes of northern spring of 14% protein content at $274.00 a tonne c&f and 5,400 tonnes of hard red winter of 11.5%-12% protein at $257.50 a tonne c&f.

It also involved 4,600 tonnes of soft white wheat of 9.8%-10.5% protein at $276.54 a tonne c&f and 1,500 tonnes of soft white wheat of a maximum 9% protein at $284.40 a tonne c&f.

Some 10,500 tonnes of Canadian western red spring wheat of grade 2CWRS with 13.5% protein was also bought at $272.00 a tonne c&f.
