KARACHI: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Thursday emphasized on the best projection of Founder of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah personality, vision, political struggle and contribution to Pakistan after its creation by broadcasting and publishing maximum information about him in books, newspapers and magazines; mainly in Urdu language.

" People, especially the youth, must be given information about Jinnah. His personally and vision should be beacon for the young generation," he asserted while speaking at a ceremony to highlight Jinnah, his ideology and struggle. The event was organized by Karachi Council on Foreign Relations (KCFR) at a local hotel.

He said that the entire life of Jinnah is the guideline for us as a nation. Jinnah presented a comprehensive economic map for the country , along with social norms wherein every citizen including minorities would be treated equally. This has been very much pursued by the successive governments and today all minorities in Pakistan were much safe and respected.

" Pakistan, founded by Quaid-e-Azam guarantees equal rights to every citizen," he added.

The Governor said Jinnah's personality is un-challenged till today. He played his historic role for the Muslims of the sub-continent and then of Pakistan. He was not concerned about himself or his family. Till his death, he added, Quaid worked for the betterment of Pakistan and the nation.

He said the death of Quaid-e-Azam created a big gap of leadership in the country and it took long time to fill it that caused big loss to the country.

Referring the Jinnah's great vision,  he said he presented a two-nation theory suggesting that there was no place for the Muslims in India. Today, it has proved that Muslims are not safe in India.

He criticized Indian government for its atrocities on the innocent Kashmiries; mainly after the annexation of Indian held Jammu and Kashmir.

To a question, he said it is difficult for Pakistan to establish economic and cultural ties with India till peaceful and meaningful resolution to Kashmir is found.

" We are and will remain with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters," he reaffirmed.

Earlier, grandson of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Chairman of KCFA, Liaqat Merchant spoke on the Quaid's personality and highlighted his historic role before and after creation of Pakistan.

He played a documentary showing Quaid's pictures and comments of the great personalities of the world about Quaid-e-Azam.
