Fans remember Princess Diana on her 22nd death anniversary
It was August 31, 1997 when Diana, Princess of Wales, passed away in a car accident in France. Her death shook the world and left millions of people mourning. Today marks the 22nd death anniversary of the late princess.
On Friday, fans of the late Princess started pinning photos of her, including pictures of her with Princes William and Harry, to the gates of her former home Kensington Palace.
Reportedly, there are also large banners with the messages by her well wishers. “Her work continues through her loving sons Prince William & Prince Harry,” one banner reads.
Another reads, “Diana, Princess of Wales, forever in our hearts”. Thousand of tributes have also been pouring in on social media.
While royal fans honouring the death of Princess Diana by leaving flowers on Pont D’Alma and outside Kensington Palace, the Princess’ children are likely to celebrate the life of her mother in private.
From being a mother to a wife to a humanitarian, Princess Diana left an indelible impression on the hearts and minds of thousands of people. If not for her charitable acts, Lady Diana is undoubtedly remembered for breaking away from royal traditions and infusing a breath of fresh air among the royal family.
