Pakistan legendary batsman and former captain Javed Miandad has voiced against the Indian government's atrocities being committed against Kashmiris as the cricket legend threatened to use a sword against them.

“Kashmiri brothers don’t worry. We are with you. Earlier, I used a bat to hit a six, now I can use this sword...If I can hit a sixer with a bat, can’t I kill a man with a sword,” Miandad says in a video that has gone viral.

Miandad was highlighting his memorable last ball six that he hit against India at Sharjah in 1986, the sixer is considered one of the most iconic moments in cricketing history.

Tensions have risen between neighbors India and Pakistan, after the Indian government announced to scrap Article 370 from IoK. The Indian government has since imposed a virtual lockdown in the contested region.

Pakistani superstars and celebrities have been quite vocal expressing their solidarity with the people of Kashmir. Earlier, former captain Shahid Afridi blasted Indian premier Narendra Modi, saying that he would be remembered as Adolf Hitler in the annals of history.

“First of all it starts with me, how much I am willing to struggle for the Kashmir cause, everyone knows about the atrocities being committed in that region,” said Afridi during his visit to the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam on Friday

“Modi will be remembered by the name of Hitler…. My Pakhtoon brothers and tribal men are enough for India,” he added.
