HAMBURG: Turkey's state grain board TMO has provisionally purchased about 250,000 tonnes of wheat to be sourced from optional origins in a series of tenders which closed on Tuesday, European traders said.
The tonnage purchased and prices are still subject to final confirmation, traders said.
The purchase included 120,000 tonnes of 12.5pc protein wheat bought at the lowest price of $194.40 a tonne c&f.
The rest was 13.5pc protein wheat bought at the lowest price of $196.20 a tonne c&f, they said.
A total of 25 separate tenders each seeking 10,000 tonnes of red milling wheat were issued by the TMO with shipment between Sept. 10-27.
