Pakistan leg spinner Shadab Khan made heads turn with his spinning deliveries guiding the Guyana Amazon Warriors to victory at the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) .

Shadab ended up with brilliant bowling figures of three wickets for 16 runs in his four overs, as his side beat St Lucia Zouks by 13 runs at Providence Stadium,Guyana

“I was just waiting for the game to get over (after his injury). The momentum came in our favour in the last couple of overs when Green and Paul were batting. Green did a good job last year as well, a lot of people love him. The bowlers taking regular wickets was the key. I have to remind Sammy it's 3-2 now, we have something between us,” said Guyana winning captain Shoaib Malik.

Shadab started off with the dismissal of Andre Fletcher, who got bowled by the leggie on 8. Christopher Barnwell and St Lucia skipper Darren Sammy became the second and third victim of Shadab's deliveries, falling on 7 and 18 runs, respectively.

Earlier, fellow Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain impressed during his CPL debut, after he picked up three wickets for 36 runs in his spell of four overs, allowing his side the Trinbago Knight Riders to cruise to victory against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 11 runs.
