Defence Day: PM, COAS General Bajwa reach LoC to meet Kashmiris

Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa reached on Friday Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Central Head of Public Relations took to twitter and wrote, "Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has reached LOC along with COAS General Bajwa."They were accompanied by Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Chairman of Special Committee on Kashmir Syed Fakhar Imam.

The PM and COAS will interact with troops and meet the families of martyrs, local media reported. The premier is also expected to visit Muzaffarabad and address citizens today. This visit has taken place as the country is observing Defence and Martyrs Day. September 6 is also being observed as Kashmir Solidarity Day.
