Mahira Khan proud of ‘Laal Kabootar’ for making it to the Oscars

Karachi-based crime thriller, ‘Laal Kabootar’ has been selected as Pakistan's official submission for the upcoming Academy Awards 2020. Superstar Mahira Khan in a recent tweet said that she is proud of Pakistani film being selected for such prestigious accolade.

The Academy will choose final nominees for all award categories including 'International Feature Film' in December 2019.

Replying to Mansha Pasha, the lead actress of ‘Laal Kabootar’, Mahira congratulated the actress and said that she is proud of her and the film for making it to the Oscars.

Directed by Kamal Khan, the film received rave reviews by the critics and was also praised by the masses when released in March this year. The film also starred Ahmed Ali Akbar in the lead role.

In an exciting update on Twitter, the ‘Laal Kabootar’ team also announced the film's selection for Oscars 2020.
