Aishwarya Rai takes up Angelina Jolie’s ‘Maleficent’ role in Disney’s new trailer

• The Hindi trailer of 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' features Aishwarya Rai as Maleficent.
• The movie is slated to release on October 18, 2019.

Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan makes a startling entry in the Disney Universe with a Hindi version of Angelina Jolie’s film ‘Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil’.

Aishwarya will dub for the role of Maleficent, originally played Angelina. Disney has released official trailer of the film in Hindi in which Aish can be seen acing the look of the evil fairy in the black attire.

In the latest trailer we can see Aish in her striking Maleficent avatar talking about how we have only seen her in soft and kind avatar but now we will see her in angry and hatred avatar in ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’.

Throughout the teaser, we see Angelina’s visuals with the vocals of the 45-year-old Bollywood actress.

Bikram Duggal of Disney India said in a statement, “Looking at how Angelina Jolie fits Maleficent’s role down to the letter, it was hard to imagine anyone else essaying the character other than Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for our local audience. We wanted to build a strong connect and bring her character to life in Hindi, and felt Aishwarya’s persona which is filled with elegance and poise would be a perfect blend,” Hindustan Times reported.

‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ is slated to release on October 18, 2019.
