Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and Awami National Party (ANP) have proposed to summon an All-Parties Conference (APC) of opposition parties to formulate modalities for participating in 'Azadi March' announced by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Sunday met Awami National Party (ANP) chief Asfandyar Wali in Islamabad and discussed matters pertaining to ongoing political situation in the country and JUI-F's Azadi March. The meeting also discussed matters relating to Kashmir issue, Afghan peace process and regional situation.

PPP leaders Farhatullah Babar, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari and Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, while ANP leaders Zahid Khan, Mian Iftikhar and Ameer Haider Hoti attended the meeting. After the meeting, PPP leader Farhatullah Babar said while talking to the media that his party has proposed to summon All-Parties Conference (APC) and Rahbar Committee meeting to formulate modalities for supporting and participating in 'Azadi March'.

He said, "We also suggested Maulana to call himself an APC of opposition parties to make his movement successful against the PTI government." He said the opposition is united and the announcement regarding Azadi March has been made.

The PPP leader said that the current government is the product of rigging, adding that free, fair and transparent polls should be held in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, ANP leader Iftikhar Hussain said that his party wants a united opposition, adding that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman should take other opposition parties in confidence to keep the opposition united. He said that ANP has also agreed to call APC of the opposition parties to evolve strategy and formulate modalities of 'Azadi March'.

He said that the government wants to create differences among the opposition parties. He said that the government has ruined country's economy. He said that PTI came into power through rigged elections. He said, "We want free, fair and transparent re-election under Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the army should not be involved in it."
