Fake notification on social media: DC asks FIA Cyber Crime Wing to register case

The deputy commissioner Islamabad on Monday asked the director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Cyber Crime Wing, to register a case against the people involved in circulating a fake notification on social media by using the title/ name of the DC.

The DC asked the director FIA Cyber Crime Wing to take strict legal action against the people involved under relevant provisions of cyber crime laws. The DC through his Twitter account said that an FIR is being registered for issuance of fake notification and requested for deletion of the said notification.

According to the fake notification, it was notified to all city government officials, civil administration, community organizations and general public that homosexuality is strictly prohibited in Islam and hence, cannot be tolerated in any form, whether in a political gathering or during private meetings.
