Gaddafi Stadium to turn pink tonight to raise awareness about breast cancer

• President Dr Arif Alvi and PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani will attend a ceremony that will be held before match.
• PCB has also asked fans to wear pink to tonight’s fixture.

The Gaddafi Stadium Lahore will turn pink tonight (Wednesday) for the first time after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently joined hands with Pink Ribbon to create awareness about breast cancer.

A ceremony will also be held before the third T20I between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, which will be attended by Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi and PCB Chairman Ehsan Mani, according to a statement issued by PCB.

The president will pin pink ribbons on both team captains, while players and match officials will don the ribbons over the course of the match. The stumps for the last T2oI will be branded in pink as well, whereas, all sponsors of the series will also be changing their branding colours in the ground to pink.

The cricketing board has also urged the fans to wear pink to tonight’s fixture.

Sri Lanka is enjoying an unassailable lead of 2-0 and would meet the hosts Pakistan for the final time for the third T20I at Lahore.
