The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday dismissed review petitions filed in disqualification case of Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind. A three-judge bench of the apex court headed by Justice Umar Atta Bandial took up the case for hearing. The petitioners took the plea that Rind has admitted before the court that he had made fake credentials and the court didn't review this point.
However, Justice Bandial rejected the plea, saying it is too late to take up the plea. "The issue you are talking about is too old and your review can not be taken up," he observed. The review petitions were filed by Taj Muhammad Raisani, Ghulam Haider and Mir Asim.
