Early-age childhood education programme: State-of-the-art classroom inaugurated
Under the early age childhood education programme first state-of-the-art classroom has been inaugurated. KP Education Minister Zia Ullah Khan Bangash while addressing the inaugural ceremony in government girls No.3 Hayatabad Peshawar said that as per the vision of PM Imran Khan government schools will also be provided with state-of-the-art play group & modern teaching material. Under this programme facilities will be provided to students from root level. 4 to 8 years old boys will be admitted in play groups. Under ECE programme some teachers will also be trained.
Director Education Dr Hafiz M Ibrahim, Director DCTE, Gophar Khan, Director PITE Hakim Ullah Khan, Additional Director Farid Khattak, District Education officer Samina Gani, Fawad Ali Shah and Nasir Khan attended the ceremony.
Zia Ullah Khan Bangash said ECE will revolutionise other education systems. Under this programme 10,000 state-of-the-art classrooms will be made. This year 1,850 classrooms will be made out of which 600 classrooms have been set around for tribal districts.
UNICEF will assist in making 350 classrooms and the others are being made by the government. Rs600 million are set aside for making 1,850 classrooms and 8,000 students will benefit from it. We are focusing on quality of education, he added.-PR
