Misbah all set to unearth new stars from National T20 Cup

Pakistan cricket team chief selector and head coach Misbah-ul-Haq has taken up the task of finding new talent from the upcoming National T20 Cup.
As per reports, a meeting will be convened during the National T20 Cup in Faisalabad, in which coaches of six teams from six regions will be participating. Misbah has said that the importance of the National T20 tournament has increased after Pakistan’s humiliating defeat against Sri Lanka, the positions deemed vacant needs to be filled.
The head coach-cum-chief selector is under a lot of pressure these days, with many demanding Misbah to step down from his dual roles or concentrate on one job only, in the wake of Pakistan 3-0 whitewash against Sri Lanka in the recently concluded home series.
Misbah further said that the upcoming T20 Cup is an opportunity for all players, especially the new talent, to prove themselves eligible for the national team. Misbah is hopeful that he would see good players emerge from the tournament.
The National T20 Cup is scheduled to begin from October 13-24 at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. Some six regional teams would participate in the tournament with some of the biggest national cricket stars including Babar Azam, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Rizwan and Imad Wasim among others to participate in the 18 matches tournament.
