On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,149. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.162 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 10,124. Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.719 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 2.270 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 436.187 million, NSDQ100 PKR 379.056 million, Silver PKR 335.614 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 274.435 million, Platinum PKR 243.850 million, DJ PKR 225.730 million, Palladium PKR 130.270 million, SP500 PKR 52.488 million, Copper PKR 48.744 million and Natural Gas PKR 46.935 million. In agriculture commodities 8 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 8.393 million were traded.
