Pakistan's leading batsman Babar Azam is celebrating his birthday today as the young batsman has turns 25. Social media was flooded with birthday wishes for the cricketing star.

Considered among the finest batsmen of his generation, Azam is constantly ranked among the top players with the bat in limited overs cricket and is world’s No.1 T20I and No.3 ODI batsman.

The Lahore-born top order batsman has climbed through rapidly, since making his international debut in 2015 and was recently crowned the vice captain of Pakistan cricket team.

Among his many feats, Azam became the third Pakistan batsman to register a hat-trick of ODI 100s, after Zaheer Abbas and Saeed Anwar, and the first Pakistani batsman to score three T20 100s in a calendar year.

Azam also boosts the record of scoring most runs in a single World Cup for Pakistan, the record that he achieved in 2019 World Cup overtaking Javed Miandad.

Azam is currently participating at the National T20 Cup where he is leading the Central Punjab side.
