District Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Asghar Joiya here on Thursday visited various part of the city to spread awareness about dengue and preventive measures for controlling the disease.
At Ayesha Degree College, he attended a seminar and told the college students that to eradicate dengue it is imperative to create awareness about the disease. On the occasion, he also distributed pamphlets about dengue among the teachers and students. Meanwhile, he visited Union Council 77 and inspected the working of dengue teams, and also took a feedback from the local residents about the performance of these teams. Meanwhile, the DC also visited a temporary shelter home at Larri Adda and inspected the facilities provided there and also the preventive measures taken for controlling dengue in the premises.
