On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,134. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.839 billion and the numbers of lots traded 7,017. Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.124 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 2.018 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 452.625 million, NSDQ100 PKR 303.229 million, Silver PKR 251.703 million, Platinum PKR 227.976 million, DJ PKR 185.081 million, Palladium PKR 107.785 million, Natural Gas PKR 66.822 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 44.250 million, Copper PKR 29.466 million and SP500 PKR 27.527 million. In agriculture commodities 9 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 4.500 million were traded.
