Dr Rabia Akhtar, a member of the Prime Minister's Advisory Council on Foreign Affairs, proposed military leaderships of Pakistan and China to carry out joint patrolling exercises at the Line of Control (LoC) to send a strong message to war-monger India. The joint military patrolling exercises at the Line of Control (LoC) will help Pakistan to protect Chinese flagship multi-billion dollar project - China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),

Speaking on a discussion on "Kashmir: A Nuclear Flashpoint" organized by Pakistan Institute of International Affairs (PIIA) on Friday, she said that Pakistan desperately needed to involve China to counter Indian aggression on Kashmir issue. "We need to involve China in Kashmir issue," she said.

She mentioned the four thresholds as described by former Director General of Pakistan's Strategic Plans Division Lieutenant General Khalid Kidwai (Retd) when Pakistan will be pushed for nuclear war with India. If India attacks Pakistan and conquers the large part of land. If India destroys large number of military installations.

If India pushes Pakistan towards unavoidable economic crises. If India manages to create political destabilization in Pakistan. These redlines on use of nuclear weapons in a war with the neighboring country, she said, has been kept ambiguous and left for interpretation by strategic planners. She said Prime Minister Imran Khan has avidly managed to remind the international community that unresolved Kashmir conflict has become the nuclear flashpoint between Pakistan India. She said world should be worried of the escalating tensions between the two neighboring countries.

"Bold stance of the Prime Minister on atrocities in Indian held Kashmir has prompted the world leaders to talk on Kashmir," she said, adding that the PM's speech in the United National General Assembly (UNGA) was the reflection of it. With weak economy, she said going to war with India will not be a good option. The wise decision for Pakistan is to maintain strategic patience and wait till the Kashmiris break curfew.

What has the third party to offer Pakistan on Pakistan and India conflict on Kashmir, she said United States of America has become a silent spectator, China believes on no interference policy, the Arab world does not want to take India head on when India holds Kashmir issue as its internal matter. Post-August 5 decision of scraping article 370 of its constitution, the Indian government and the Army is trying to build new narrative to "liberate" Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

"Line of Control is on fire," she said, adding that circumstances tell us that Pakistan does not have good options to launch strike against India. From secular state, India has now emerged as militarized Hindu nation which Pakistan has never dealt with.

She said that India could launch offensive against Pakistan if Pulwama like incident happenes again besides Pakistan is capable to give conventional response to India like it did after Balakot. "Post-Pulwama credit was seized by Pakistan after releasing Indian pilot Abhi Nandan," she added.
