Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif was shifted to Lahore's Services Hospital after his platelet count dropped critically low, Aaj news reported.

The former prime minister's personal physician Dr Adnan Malik took to the twitter and stated that Nawaz Sharif required immediate in-hospital care.

Later, a team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) shifted the PML-N supremo to Lahore's Services Hospital for medical treatment.

On the other hand, Leader of Opposition in National Assembly and PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif and Sharif's son-in-law Captain Safdar (retd) also reached outside the anti-graft watchdog's Lahore office.

Meanwhile, a large number of party leaders and workers reached outside the hospital, while dozens of PML-N workers burned tyres and blocked the main Multan Road.
