(Karachi) Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) leader Mufti Kifayatullah has been arrested over provocative speech, local news channel reported on Sunday.
Kifayatullah had reportedly criticized the government in a gathering a few days ago.
Terming the speech provocative, the police arrested him and registered a case against him.
The JUI-F leader was nabbed from Islamabad by Mansehra police and was shifted to Haripur Central Jail.
Meanwhile, JUI-F leaders have condemned the arrest and said the government has started detaining its party workers to stop them from participating in “Azadi March”.
They said the march will be held at all costs and such actions will not lower the morale of the party activists.
