Convener of the Rehbar Committee of opposition parties, Akram Khan Durrani has reiterated that the resignation of the Prime Minister is their first demand, adding that their Azadi March will be peaceful.
Talking to journalists in Bannu on Sunday, he said that the statement of the Defence Minister Pervez Khattak that the opposition had withdrawn from the demand of the resignation of Prime Minister is lie. He said that the resignation of the prime minister atop their demands.
Those present on the occasion were included MNA Zahid Akram Khan Durrani, district Ameer JUI-F Bannu, Qari Abdullah, General Secretary, Haji Mohammad Niaz, Malik Ihsan, Malik Naeem Khan Menakhel, Malik Khalia Dad Khan, Malik Sahad Ali Shah and Bilal Ahmad.
He said that their Azadi March will be peaceful and vowed not tolerate the interference of any institute in elections. He hinted at the restoration of the blocked national identity card of Senator Hamdullah within a period of two days and demanded immediate release of Mufti Kifyatullah.
He condemned ban on Ansarul Islam and said that it is a service providing JUI-F affiliated wing like other political parties. He said that in past they had staged 15 million marches wherein the volunteers of the organization had carried out administrative responsibility.
Akram Khan Durrani said that Ansarul Islam is neither a para-military force nor any militant wing and clamping ban it is the living proof of the incompetence of the incumbent government.
He said that the government is frightened of the Azadi Million March as doctors, trading communities and other organizations are also supporting it as they are supporting all demands of the doctors, trading and other communities.
Earlier, addressing a Kashmir solidarity rally, he warned that if they are not allowed to stage Azai March in Islamabad, then they will also not allow Imran Khan to live there.
Regarding Kashmir issue, he said that Kashmir is unbreakable and jugular vein of Pakistan. He said that the Kashmiris are the brothers of Pakistanis and the time is not far away when the occupied Indian forces will have no option than leaving Kashmir.
