GDA's Moazzam Ali Khan Abbasi on Tuesday took oath as member of Sindh Assembly amid treasury's boycott and opposition lawmakers high-pitch chants to celebrate his success in by-poll.
Sindh Assembly Speaker Aga Siraj Khan Durrani administered the oath to Abbasi and congratulated him. Opposition parties celebrated his success defeating PPP's Jameel Soomro in Larkana PS-11 recently, shouting slogans. PPP lawmakers remained absent from the oath taking. After swearing in Sindhi language, Abbasi said "I am thankful to Allah Almighty and people of Larkana," for his reelection. Sindh Health Minister, Dr Azra told the legislature that 75pc women in the province lacked maternity facilities in hospitals while giving a statement on PTI's Khurrum Sher Zaman Khan's adjournment motion on low-growth of children in the province.
