Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr Syed Kaleem Imam on Wednesday said his department was making efforts to end Gender Based Violence (GBV) by establishing women and child protection cells.
He was addressing the Project Close-out Conference of the 'policy advocacy and research to strengthen implementation of pro-women legislation and GBV response services in Sindh'. The event was organized by Strengthening Participatory Organization (SPO) here at a local hotel.
IG Sindh shared that provincial government has developed certain pro-women centres and in this regard Sindh Police is taking steps to implement the same however, he said it is also significantly important that awareness shall be made to all citizens so that implementations can be witnessed in the society.
