Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday chaired a meeting in which steps about the maintenance of law & order and security of participants of the JUI-F March were reviewed. IG Police Punjab briefed the participants of the meeting about the law & order situation of the province as well as security of the March participants.

"Neither anybody be allowed to take the law into his hands nor will be permitted to disrupt the routine life,' the CM said, adding: "The law will come into action against those taking the law into their hands and rule of law will be ensured at every cost in the province." Addressing the meeting, the chief minister directed the police and other law enforcement agencies to remain vigilant to protect the life and property of the people.

The meeting also decided to provide quality healthcare facilities to chronically-ill prisoners. The CM also sought a list of prisoners facing health issues in different jails. He directed ACS (Home) to submit the list at the earliest. Provision of the best treatment is the right of chronically-ill prisoners and the Punjab government will extend them this right, he said.

The CM said on the occasion that this agreement is important to fulfill the growing demand of engineers in the global semi-conductor industry. This agreement would create the best job opportunities for the engineers of Pakistan, especially the province of Punjab, in the semi-conductor industry. During the next five years, 70,000 Pakistani engineers would be able to get employment in the international semiconductor industry, he added.
