Zakat & Ushr Department issues Rs 70.375 million to 13 hospitals
The Punjab Zakat and Ushr Department has released funds of Rs70.375 million to 13 hospitals of Lahore for providing free of cost treatment facilities to destitute patients. Punjab Zakat and Ushr Minister Shaukat Ali Lalika distributed cheques of above-mentioned amount to the Medical Social Officers in a ceremony held here on Friday, disclosed an official. Administrator Zakat Punjab Muhammad Aslam Ramay, Deputy Administrator Field Muhammad Sajjad Babar, concerned Social Medical Officers and other officers of zakat department were present on the occasion.
While addressing the ceremony, the Minister said that Rs2.5 million has been released to Ganga Ram Hospital, Rs3.5 million to Services Hospital, Rs4 million to Lahore General Hospital, Rs5 million to Shaikh Zayed Hospital, Rs6.75 million to Gulab Devi Chest Hospital, Rs10.05 million to Mayo Hospital, Rs10.15 million to PIC, Rs1.625 million to Fountain House, Rs7.75 million to Anmol hospital, Rs5.5 million to Shaukat Kkanum Hospital, Rs4.25 million to Jinnah Hospital, Rs5 million to Children Hospital and Rs2.5 million to Gurki Hospital. He directed the concern officials to further improve transparency and Health Welfare Committees and ensure free of cost treatment and medicines to deserving patients.
