BD Leather Tech Fair: 'Participation to promote Pak-BD bilateral trade'

Chairman, Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), Sheikh Afzal Hussain has said that the supreme motive for participation in Bangladesh Leather Tech Fair is to promote the bilateral trade activities between Pakistan and Bangladesh to increase the trade volume which stood at US$18.469 million between Bangladesh and Pakistan, which needs to be accelerated to the maximum extent with coordination between both the counterparts.

Sharing for Pakistan participation in Bangladesh Leather Tech Fair which has already been commenced at Dhaka from 31st October 2019 to 2nd November 2019 with 12 top leading exporters of leather such as 1) Hussain Leather Craft 2) Hafiz Tannery 3) Siddiq Leather Works 4) Pelle Classics 5) Universal Leather 6) MIMA Leather 7) HMB Tanneries 8) Prime Tanning Industries 9) Shafi (Pvt) Ltd 10) Multan Hide Co 11) Leathertex Tanneries 12) Khawaja Tanneries under the banner of Pakistan Pavilion which is organised by PTA in collaboration with TDAP, Government of Pakistan under the patronage of Pakistan High Commission of Pakistan at Dhaka, Bangladesh.

He highlighted the potentiality for the consumption of best quality of finished leather of cow, buffalo, sheep and goats skins which are displaying at the respective booths of Pakistan Pavilion which become centre of attraction to the Bangladeshi businessmen in general and foreign buyers/customers from other countries in particular which are visiting the Pakistani booths during three days show while the first day of the show was productive for Pakistani businessmen with the achievement of desired goals for participation.

First day of the Show, the Acting High Commissioner, Shah Faisal Kakar has paid visit to Pakistan Pavilion along with his team of commercial section and met with each of representatives of Pakistani participants, which was termed to be the best source of motivation with encouragement.

He appreciated the gesture of cooperation extended by M Suleman Khan Commercial Secretary at Pakistan High Commission at Dhaka along with Ghulam Nabi Commercial Assistant for organizing the show with the close coordination with the Association of PTA in Dhaka in general and extended outstanding services at Dhaka airport in receiving the delegates of Pakistan pavilion at the respective flights at Dhaka to ensure their clearance at immigration with convenience which was much effective and facilitated to the member delegates for Pakistan.

M Suleman also extended his unprecedented services in releasing the cargo sample shipment of leather at Dhaka customs and ensured delivery of leather samples to the respective booths at Pakistan Pavilion which was core ingredients of the stand/pavilion. All the delegates also got Bangladesh visa well before time by virtue of M Suleman follow up made by him with Bangladesh immigration here in Dhaka.
